Top of the season to you and yours.

Please meet Ryan, a young man recently introduced to a mechanic apprenticeship here at RJK. Ryan has proven his desire to the career by undertaking any task at hand with no objection. We here have observed Ryan`s willingness to get familiar with projects prior to initiating them, a quality which is enjoyed by all who is working alongside him.
In his relatively short period of time here, He has proven his self by displaying the patients, and dedication and open the tricks of the trade.
Ryan is a thinker, punctual and a pleasure to work with, and has displayed a true value to this adventure. I believe he will be the most exposed young apprentice at the time of his schooling group every year...... keep it up

<![CDATA[RJK Global Program]]>Sat, 22 Aug 2015 12:59:48 GMThttp://rjkcanada.com/rjk-whats-happening-blog/rjk-global-programGood day to you and yours.

Thanks for accepting my request, and in reading your profile I might have a program that you could help with..this might interest you for your country..
I say that, since starting this campaign for the organizing of Independent trades people here in North America, I have been overwhelmed with a response from your country, which tells me that there is a NEED.

Regional Organizers

Interested organizers please sign up here: http://www.rjkcanada.com/rjk-country-organizer-sign-up-form.html

Also, once organized RJK would have the ability to mobilize workforces to every part of the globe thru the RJK umbrella - "Inter-company" on projects we all find as organizers...

The Program
RJK is looking for independent mechanics or service providers with or without service trucks. "Get on Board" RJK is also looking for the work for them. We want your work! Don't have a service truck? We can get you one!

The Steps are:

1) Fill out the suitable form or forms, As that tells me your interest. and upload your profile as requested..

2) I then send you the attached more information subject to the form filled out.

3) If you like what you read, we then subscribe to a very detailed review of your company with yet another on line form, This form is very in depth and supports RJK to undertake a MARKET Review for your desired area, this review also identifies your SOW (Strengths and weakness) and open the discussion for your interests. As there are 3 levels of RJK service providers..

a) Primary (Rights of 1st Refusal)

b) Secondary - Registered support group

c) MRT (Mobile Repair Teams)

4) From this same review, if you have NOT got a 5 year business plan, we talk of ways to get you one that further identifies markers to build success and milestones. (generally intrusive) but a plan is essential.

5) From there a membership agreement is established, and RJK will introduce to the regional organizers the agreed market area a NEW RJK service provider, - you, as supported RJK approved service provider.

yes simple but real, and is designed for building business, RJK has much to offer for the business minded independent person.

The benefits:
The preamble would include that it is a program to maximize the benefits of being self employed in the equipment repair trades, to reduce some of the stresses involved.

· A system where hourly charge out rates will be standardized to prevent companies putting one contractor against another.

· A system where all registered clients would be able to concentrate on the work they are doing at the moment, ie, a central phone number for customers to call, sort of like a union hall.

· A system that can provide for assistance in rework situations, having other contractors to either take over the work in progress or look after the rework, all at a rate agreeable to all participants.

· A central with options to purchase group insurance and/or liability, vehicle insurance, disability insurance for the vital personnel at reduced rates from bulk purchase.

· A central that could offer such things as bookkeepers, accountants, lawyers at reduced rates because of business volumes.

Please fill out the suitable form or forms that interest you.

VANCOUVER – BC Hydro announced today that it has awarded a contract to Morgan Construction and Environmental Ltd. for preparation activities on the north bank of the Site C dam site. The scope of work includes:

· constructing approximately seven kilometres of access roads on the north bank of the Site C dam site,

· excavating about two million cubic metres of material,

· producing and stockpiling approximately 100,000 cubic metres of aggregate material for use by other contractors at the dam site, and

· clearing and grubbing of approximately 55 hectares.

Work under this contract is expected to start in early August and be complete by the end of June 2016. This work is required to prepare the site for the start of main civil works in early 2016. The contract with Morgan Construction meets key procurement objectives for the project — including being within budget — as well as requirements related to safety, quality and production.

BC Hydro will retain an independent environmental monitor who will audit and review compliance of the contractor’s work with the conditions of environmental approval, and report directly to the federal and provincial regulatory agencies.

BC Hydro is building Site C to meet the long-term electricity needs of its customers. Once built, Site C will provide clean, reliable and affordable electricity in B.C. for more than 100 years.

Key Facts

· The contract for site preparation activities on the north bank of the dam site is one of several BC Hydro procurements for the Site C project.

o On July 23, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure announced that A.L. Sims and Sons Ltd. was awarded the contract to improve public roads accessing the dam site.

o On May 11, BC Hydro announced that Paul Paquette and Son’s Contracting was awarded the contract to clear the south bank of the Site C dam site.

o On April 30, BC Hydro announced that ATCO Two Rivers Lodging Group GP Ltd., a subsidiary of ATCO Structures & Logistics Ltd., was selected as the preferred proponent for the Site C Worker Accommodation contract.

o Other procurements underway include Main Civil Works and Turbines and Generators.

· Site C construction will provide employment, contracting and sub-contracting opportunities for local, regional and Aboriginal workers and businesses.

· The construction of Site C will create 10,000 person-years of direct employment during the construction period and 33,000 person-years of employment in total. It will contribute $3.2 billion to the B.C. economy, including $130 million to the regional economy.

Quotes

Hon. Bill Bennett, Minister of Energy and Mines and Minister Responsible for Core Review

“Site C is an important project for our province and I’m pleased to see contracts being awarded for project construction. Building Site C will create thousands of jobs and inject billions of dollars into our economy. And when it’s all done, it will deliver clean, affordable and reliable electricity for more than a century.”

Pat Pimm, MLA, Peace River North

“The construction of Site C will provide the Peace region with significant opportunities for local businesses and workers to help build a legacy project for the province. With the awarding of the contract for site preparation activities on the north bank of the dam site, we are moving forward with a project that will grow the regional economy and benefit generations of British Columbians.”

Jessica McDonald, President and Chief Executive Officer, BC Hydro

“The awarding of this contract is a significant milestone for the Site C project and we are pleased that our competitive procurement process is resulting in contracts that achieve the best value for our customers while also creating jobs and business opportunities for the Peace region.”

Peter Kiss, President, Morgan Construction

“We are very pleased to have been awarded this contract. I spent my summers on my grandparents’ farm on the banks of the Peace River near Hudson’s Hope, and I appreciate that Site C is a legacy project for B.C. and we are very excited to be a part of it.”

Good afternoon,

BC Hydro originally planned job fairs for the Site C project on July 28, 29, and 30 in Tumbler Ridge, Fort St. John and Chetwynd, respectively. These job fairs will be postponed to September 2015.

BC Hydro is currently evaluating its policies and procedures for public meetings. The postponement of the job fairs will give us time to complete this task. Our intent is to ensure the safety of our staff and members of the public.
